Forbrain/Sound for Life

Use the power of your voice to boost attention and memory. The Forbrain headset uses bone conduction technology to give you enhanced feedback from your voice. Hearing your voice more clearly allows you to correct and adjust it to be more like what you're hearing others say. This is known as the 'auditory feedback loop' and the Forbrain headset uses it to naturally correct speech, tone, timbre and accent.

Use the Forbrain headset for:

  • speech therapy

  • developing attention and memory

  • improving reading fluency

  • practicing for presentations

  • learning another language

  • singing practice

  • acting rehearsal

  • study/learning retention

Forbrain is able to be used from ages 3 and up and some conditions apply. To find out more click on the link below.

Big Life Journal

Helping our children shift from "I can't do it" to "I can't do it YET" is easier said than done. That's why Big Life Journal create colourful, creative journals, posters, activities and parent courses. Give your children the practice they need to turn their resistance to learning a new skill into the willingness to try. A growth mindset helps shift the attitude to learning in several ways:

  • Helping them to feel more comfortable about making mistakes. This reduces the perfectionism that can often paralyse children, making them afraid to even try.

  • Reframing their expectations. Knowing that the first attempts at building a new skill can be awkward and messy can be a relief. Having healthier expectations like this can allow the fun back into the learning process.

  • Taking the focus off 'prizes' such as ribbons, a trophy or top marks, and putting it on the effort that goes into earning them increases confidence long term. Especially when they don't win these prizes.

Building a growth mindset needs to be modelled and practiced. Let Big Life Journal help you.
